IEC 61439 استاندارد مادر یا اصلی در طراحی تابلو برق فشار ضعیف مییاشد که در آن تعاریف کلی، شرایط خدمات، الزامات ساخت و ساز، مشخصات فنی را برای تابلوهای LV و تجهیزات کنترلی تعیین می کند.
این استاندارد در حال حاضر 6 پارت دارد و در هر پارت بر روی یک موضوع تمرکز کرده است.

One of the main features of IEC 61439-1 is that the discrimination between Type Tested Assemblies (TTA) and Partially Type Tested Assemblies (PTTA) has been eliminated by the verification approach.
The three different but equivalent types of verification methods are introduced and these are:
- Verification by Testing
- Verification by Calculation/Measurement
- Verification by Design rules
